Alexander McQueen  has always been revolutionary. His thoughts his presentations till date are beyond any judgment.

“I’ve seen a woman get nearly beaten to death by her husband. I know what misogyny is … I want people to be afraid of the women I dress.” – Alexander McQueen. His collections mostly reflects this line depicting  provocative , aggressive and fiery ladies although extraordinarily designed, structured and presented savage faces and outfits in his shows, through art and fashion.

World was not ready when they first saw his creations .Its always been more than what viewers could imagine and digest.

His ideas and unique themes made him go up hill into the fashion industry. Sarah burton his friend and longtime collaborator and successor once said about him in an interview

“We would tell him something was technically impossible and in the morning there would be something amazing on the mannequin”.

He had a capability to inculcate art and fashion together and give the world some amazing pieces and shows.

♥ “His iconic designs constitute the work of an artist whose medium of expression was fashion.”Thomas P. Campbell

♥ “The wooden wings were in this show, too, and the prosthetic legs he had carved for Aimee Mullins, who walked in the show. That was so moving. There were so many ideas in there. Each of his shows was like ten of anyone else’s.” Sarah Burton

There were many more achievements besides these I mentioned, but it could not be summarized in one post . I know for sure he is an inspiration to most of us admirers of fashion and art. He is not an entity to be forgotten ever.
